(Reuters) – A machine used for paper recycling caught hearth Thursday night time at Tesla Inc’s (TSLA.O) Fremont, California, campus, outdoors the corporate’s automobile manufacturing manufacturing facility, however manufacturing was not affected, the corporate stated.

The hearth occurred after a cardboard baling machines that’s used for recycling overheated, and was contained, Fremont Hearth Division Division Chief Diane Hendry stated on Friday.

The hearth occurred in a tent used for recycling functions on the south facet of the corporate’s campus, an organization spokeswoman stated on Friday.

“Final night time, the construction outdoors our manufacturing facility that homes the cardboard and different wooden and paper merchandise which might be being recycled caught hearth,” the spokeswoman stated, including that no accidents have been reported, and the corporate was investigating the trigger.

In a tweet earlier this week, Tesla Chief Government Officer Elon Musk touted a brand new tent on the campus that’s getting used for the manufacturing of the Mannequin three.

The Tesla spokeswoman stated the manufacturing tent was not affected by the fireplace.

The Thursday hearth is the newest in a sequence of blazes on the Fremont plant. The corporate suffered a fireplace earlier this month, in response to an e mail despatched to staff by Musk.

Tesla has been burning via money because it tries to hit a goal of manufacturing 5,000 Mannequin three electrical sedans per week after manufacturing delays. Tesla’s future long-term profitability hinges on ramping up Mannequin three output, which is meant for mass manufacturing.
